So, You’ve setup your Dockup and it's working all fine and dandy. And now, you’d like to send notifications to slack whenever a new deployment is made. Let me tell you, you’re at the right place. Let’s go on with it then.
Create a Slack App
Head over to Slack API: Applications | Slack
Click on create a New App
Name: give it a recognisable name. I recommend
Workspace: Select your workspace
Now, in your apps page (you’ll have been redirected here after above step), click on incoming webhooks
Enable Incoming Webhooks
Add New Webhook to Workspace at the bottom
Select the channel where you’d want dockup notifications to be sent and Authorize the request
Finally, copy the newly generated Webhooks url
Configure Slack Webhook Url in dockup
Head over to getdockup.com/settings
Configure Slack Webhook Url
Finally, paste the copied url in step 1 and click submit.
And that’s it. Now, you’ll get slack notifications for every new deployment created on your chosen slack channel.
